Bajiraut Chhatravas - A Place for Children to Grow
Bajiraut Chhatravas (BRC) is a charitable institution located in Angul, Orissa, in the Republic of India. It is a designated institution of National Importance, and was established in 1946 by Smt. Malati Choudhury- a visionary freedom fighter and social activist. She was aided in constructing her vision, by her husband and fellow freedom fighter, Shri Nabakrushna Choudhury- a Gandhiian scholar and former Chief Minister of Orissa state.
BRC has been an institution that follows the ideals laid out by Mahatma Gandhi- self sufficiency, compassion and self-determination by education. Gandhi himself blessed the formation of BRC, and visited its ground many times.
